A royal wall plate! This hanging plate contains a combination of birds from paintings by the famous painter Melchior d'Hondecoeter. The pelican is the most famous of these and was commissioned by Het Loo Palace in 1680. The birds came together again, but this time to sit as a model for a modern wall plate!
