This exquisite 19th century Chinese Rose Medallion rectangular covered bowl showcases the fine artistry of Canton export porcelain. Expertly hand-painted with vibrant enamels and delicate gilt accents, the bowl features alternating panels of courtly domestic scenes, floral sprays, birds, and butterflies in the traditional Rose Medallion style.
The domed lid is crowned with a gilded knop finial, surrounded by rich decorative borders in green, pink, orange, and gold. Its rectangular form with softly rounded edges reflects the elegance of Qing Dynasty export ware, designed to appeal to Western collectors of the period.
