A rare original oil landscape by Lenore Ethel Williams Benolken (1896–1943), an accomplished American painter, educator, and important figure in the early 20th-century Omaha arts community.
Richly painted with expressive, dimensional brushwork, the scene captures blue-green water beyond a rocky shoreline, surrounded by evergreens and warm autumn foliage. The beautiful surface texture is especially striking in person, while the aged gilt wood frame gives the piece the collected character we love in original vintage art.
Benolken's artistic history makes this piece particularly special. In 1937, she became the first woman to receive a solo exhibition at the Joslyn Memorial (now Joslyn Art Museum). She also represented Nebraska in All-American exhibitions at Rockefeller Center in New York. Following her death in 1943, Joslyn honored her with a memorial exhibition featuring 33 of her paintings.

If your order is marked delivered but not received, check with neighbors or alternate delivery spots and file a claim with the carrier. Once approved, store credit will be issued or a replacement arranged.

Returns
Eligible returns are issued as store credit within fourteen days of delivery. Items must be unused, in original condition, and returned with original packaging and proof of purchase. A prepaid return label is provided; return shipping is deducted from your credit unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect. Unauthorized returns will be refused.
Final Sale
Small prints, vintage, seasonal, holiday, lighting, and any discounted or sale items are final sale. Custom furniture, one-of-a-kind pieces, personalized items, and "as is" pieces are also not eligible for return.
