The rise of social media — as both a marketing tool and a way to connect with one another — has had a rather interesting effect on interior design. At some point, we noticed, nearly every space mimicked the next. The same green hue for cabinetry. The same formula for shelf styling — the brass accents, the wood or glasses boxes, and the stack of books. And the same pair of accent chairs. This copy-and paste effect, so to speak, often resulted in spaces that lacked any true personality or charm. They felt flat, and not at all curated or collected. And then, whether it was an algorithm shift or a real, tangible change within the design community, collected became cool again. Color and pattern and mismatched furnishings are embraced, and homeowners (and their designers!) yearn for spaces that feel warm and inviting — and deeply personal, too.
At Curated, it’s no secret that we love the occasional quirky or unexpected piece. The conversation starter. And, more often than not, said piece is vintage and one of a kind. Incorporating vintage and antique pieces — and, of course, only those that speak to you — into your home is one of the easiest ways to achieve a more collected look. Here, we’ve rounded up some of our latest finds, in hopes that you, our dear readers and customers, might find an item (or two!) that inspires — a can’t-live-without piece that just, quite simply, feels right.
One-of-a-Kind Vintage Textile and Needlepoint Wall Hangings
A collected mix of vintage needlepoint and beautifully patterned vintage textiles, thoughtfully transformed into one-of-a-kind decorative wall hangings. Each piece is individually framed in a warm wood-tone frame and finished with a rich velvet ribbon for hanging.
Designed to feel like a treasured piece collected over time, these small-scale textile artworks are beautifully layered into a gallery wall, hung from a cabinet knob, or displayed individually in a bedroom, powder room, library, or collected interior.
Because authentic vintage textiles are used, each piece is completely unique and available only once.
Vintage Longaberger Miniature Baskets, Set of 2
A charming pair of vintage Longaberger miniature baskets, each with classic woven wood construction and gathered fabric liners. One features a soft yellow plaid liner; the other has a floral print liner. Small in scale and full of collected character, they’re perfect for shelf styling, tabletop display, gifting, or adding a nostalgic vintage accent to a kitchen, bar, or vignette.
Vintage Faux Malachite Porcelain Box — Frederick Cooper or Otagiri Japan
A pair of richly patterned vintage faux malachite porcelain boxes — sold separately — each capturing the swirling emerald banding of Russian malachite in glazed porcelain with gilt accents. Collected malachite style at its best, ready for a vanity, bookshelf, cocktail table, or jewelry drawer.
Antique Framed Oil Portrait of a Woman with a Blue Bow
A soulful antique portrait with the beautifully timeworn character we love in collected interiors. This original portrait depicts a dark-haired woman in rich brown and rust tones, accented by a striking blue bow and delicate lace collar. Painted on canvas and presented in a substantial molded wood frame with black accents and a gilt-toned inner liner, the piece has wonderful depth, texture and old-world presence.
The reverse reveals an aged canvas, wood stretcher and early-style frame construction. No legible artist signature or definitive provenance has been identified, so the work is offered as an unsigned, unattributed antique portrait rather than assigned to a particular artist, school or date.
Vintage Turkish Accent Rug with Heraldic Crest
A distinctive vintage Turkish accent rug featuring a warm terracotta field framed by an ornate cream, muted olive, charcoal, and deep blue botanical border. A small heraldic-style lion crest gives this one-of-a-kind piece especially collected character.
Its compact size is ideal for an entry, bedside, powder room, layered rug arrangement, or any spot that could use a storied textile accent.
Vintage Spanish Revival Wrought Iron Candelabra
Infuse your home with old-world European charm with this vintage Spanish Revival style wrought iron candelabra. Crafted from hand-forged iron, this elegant two-light candelabra features classic scrollwork and timeless architectural details inspired by the Spanish Revival movement. Its sculptural silhouette makes it a striking centerpiece on a dining table, mantel, console, or sideboard, bringing warmth and character to traditional, Mediterranean, and collected interiors.
Set of Three Vintage Portuguese Green Majolica Leaf Plates
Bring timeless European garden charm to your home with this collected set of three vintage majolica leaf plates in the Portuguese tradition. Each plate features richly molded botanical details in coordinating shades of green, creating a beautifully layered look while celebrating the individuality of handcrafted majolica. One plate is adorned with overlapping grape leaves and berry clusters in a bright apple green, while the remaining two feature sculpted serrated leaf borders framing glossy emerald centers with lovely iridescence. Display them as a ready-made gallery wall, layer them beneath white ironstone for an elegant tablescape, or style them on open shelving to add warmth and texture to your décor.
Vintage Crescini Hand-Carved Stone Pyramid Paperweight
Add a sculptural accent to your desk, bookshelf, or coffee table with this vintage Crescini stone pyramid paperweight, handcrafted in Chile. Carved from richly veined natural stone reminiscent of breccia marble, it features dramatic swirls of deep purple, black, and creamy ivory that make every piece one of a kind. Whether used as a functional paperweight or displayed as a decorative object, this timeless piece showcases the beauty of natural stone and skilled craftsmanship.
And if none of these speak to you? That’s rather the point. A collected home isn’t built in an afternoon — it’s one piece at a time, chosen because it feels right and for no other reason.
