Vintage Belsnickel Ornament – Cody Foster & Co
Not every Christmas visitor arrives with a cheerful smile. Inspired by Belsnickel, the storied old-world gift-bringer of German folklore, this petite ornament captures his wonderfully stern expression, fur-trimmed coat, and timeworn character in a palette of softly muted colors. Hand finished to evoke the look of antique European Christmas figures, it feels as though it might have been discovered in a box of treasured family ornaments tucked away for generations. Especially striking among vintage glass ornaments, silvered tinsel, candlelight, and other nostalgic holiday finds, Belsnickel brings a little folklore—and plenty of personality—to the tree.
