Toulouse Lautrec Absinthe Spoon
An ornate absinthe spoon by Bonnecaze, inspired by the traditional implements used in the classic French absinthe ritual. Crafted in polished stainless steel, the spoon features an intricately pierced bowl designed to rest across an absinthe glass while supporting a sugar cube as chilled water is slowly poured over it. Decorative and functional, it makes an intriguing addition to a home bar, cocktail collection, or display of distinctive serveware. INSTRUCTIONS: Traditional absinthe is prepared by pouring a dose of absinthe (usually an ounce) into an absinthe glass, then placing an absinthe spoon on top of the glass and a sugar cube atop the spoon. Ice water is slowly poured or dripped
from a fountain or carafe onto the sugar. The water dissolves the sugar, and the cold, sugary mixture then falls from the spoon into the glass of absinthe, releasing oils and perfuming the air with fennel, grand wormwood, and anise.
The combination also turns milky white as the water joins with the anise in the absinthe.
Once the sugar has dissolved from the spoon, the absinthe can be sampled, and the strength and sweetness can be adjusted by adding more water or sugar to taste. The mix ratio depends on one’s liking - usually 1-part absinthe to 3 to 5 parts water.

Shipping
Orders are packed and shipped every other day, Monday through Friday, with most pieces dispatched within three to five business days. Smaller items travel via USPS; larger pieces and furniture are delivered by freight or through uShip, our preferred carrier for oversized goods. Delivery for freight orders is coordinated directly by email. All shipping options apply to orders within the forty-eight contiguous United States. Custom orders are subject to special pricing, confirmed at the time of purchase.
Returns
Eligible returns are issued as store credit within fourteen days of delivery. Items must be unused, in original condition, and returned with original packaging and proof of purchase. A prepaid return label is provided; return shipping is deducted from your credit unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect. Unauthorized returns will be refused.
Final Sale
Small prints, vintage, seasonal, holiday, lighting, and any discounted or sale items are final sale. Custom furniture, one-of-a-kind pieces, personalized items, and “as is” pieces are also not eligible for return.
Damaged or Incorrect Items
Please inspect your order upon arrival. For freight deliveries, note any visible damage on the delivery receipt before signing. Reach us at customerservice@curatedhomedecor.com within seventy-two hours of delivery with your order number, a description, and photographs. Approved claims are resolved with a replacement or store credit.
Processing
Store credit is issued within five to seven business days of approved return.
Lost or Missing Packages
If your order is marked delivered but has not arrived, please check with neighbors and alternate delivery locations, then file a claim with the carrier. Once approved, we will arrange a replacement or issue store credit.
